Kaylee took a great art
class for a week this summer. She had a wonderful time and learned
a lot. She's quite the little artist.

Kaylee's wall of art!
"Leaves"
I took a white piece of paper
and traced leaves. Then I water colored the leaves and painted the
background black.
"Nature"
I drew the picture in pencil,
then outlined it in pastels. Then water colored the picture and
added more pastel texture.
"Surrealism"
I started making lines with
one water color, then I added another color and so on. After it
dried I made some decorations with a black sharpie.
"Marble Art"
I put a green piece of paper
in a box. I put one color paint on a marble, then placed the
marble in the box. After rolling the marble around it makes this
design. I continue 3 more times with different colors.
"Glue Art"
On this brown piece of paper I
squeezed glue and made patterns. After it dried I colored it with
pastels. And then I rubbed my fingers of the pastels to make it
smooth. Then I traced the glue with a Q-tip.
"Candy Land"
First I divided my white paper
into thirds. Then with a pencil I drew water, land, and sky.
Then I took pastels and outlined all my details. Then I water
colored the background.
"Tie Dye Bird"
I started by drawing the bird
onto a paper towel. Then I crumpled it up and dabbed different
water colors on it. After it dried I opened it up and got this tie
dye effect.
"Ballroom Elephant"
With a pencil I drew an
elephant eating peanuts on a plate on a table. Then I traced over
the pencil with a black pastel. Then I smudged it with my finger.
"Bathtub Dog"
I started by tracing a picture
of a dog onto a piece of foil. Then I colored the foil with
sharpies.
"Star Burst"
I took four different crayons
and started with drawing four dots on the paper. Then I took the
other colors and made a ring around each dot. I kept doing that
over and over.
"Color Motion"
I started by making the green
lines with paint. Then I took the black and outlined the green.
Then I outlined those lines with purple, blue and lastly filled the rest
in with red.
Our friend Amber is a great little artist
as well.
"Vase with Leaves"
I drew a vase with leaves in
it with a pencil. Then I outlined the it all with pastels.
Then I took some water colors and colored everything in.
"The Lion"
I started by finding the
center of my paper and then drawing the eyes on each side. From
there I drew and upside down heart for the mouth. Then with a
black pastel I added details to the eyes and made the mane.
