We went camping at Sly Park for the weekend.  We had the best time ever and love our lake front campsite.  We met the nicest campsite neighbors.

June 13 -16, 2003

Stephen blows up the floaties so the girls can go swimming.

The girls start feeding the ducks.

"Feed them and they will come,"

"and come, and come and come".

We couldn't believe how many geese came to eat.

Kaylee had a blast floating in the lake.

Camryn wanted to give it a shot.
Saturday we played some games and swam in the lake.  The Reece's, Meyer's, and Alicia came to hang out for while.
We played backgammon and chess.

Camryn checks out the beautiful scenery

More card games.

Our little Indians with feathers in their hair.

Daddy and Camryn play the matching game.

Camryn loves throwing rocks into the lake in hopes they will skip.

Kaylee loves to make mud pies.

Camryn plays with a boat that Daddy played with when he was a kid.

Kaylee and Daddy take a walk over to the island.

Then it's Camryn's turn to be carried to the island.
Jason and Kristina Reece brought their kids Makayla and Jaron along with their niece and nephew.  Unfortunately they had to leave before dinner as Jaron was sick.
Makayla only 5 years old is a little fish and can swim all over.

As Kaylee and Camryn float around.
Paul, Kris and 6 month old Alex came to visit also and stayed for dinner.  My friend Alicia surprised us too.
Ahhh, father - son.

Alex enjoyed watching all of the kids swim.

Uncle Stephen has some play time with Alex.

Cheeezzeee!

Oooops, he blinked.

Daddy anchors the boat.

Some little friends enjoyed raiding our garbage.

Camryn had fun finding her pockets.
Our camping neighbors were so much fun!  They came over Saturday night and played Catch Phrase with us.  It was a Mom (Jill), her 2 daughters and their 2 friends.  On Sunday they were so nice to take us out for a boat ride.

We got the girls suited up for the boat ride.

These days they wear helmets on the water.

First the girls sat in the back.

Then the girls checked out the front of the boat with Melia.

After the boat ride Kaylee made more mud pies.

Then the girls got to play with Jill's floatie toys.

A toober in training

A jet skier in training

The girls had a blast being pulled out from shore on a bunjie cord and riding back in.

They each took turns,

and traded positions.

Camryn's turn to drive the jet ski.

It was fun to watch Melia, Stacey and Courtney on this Vortex.

Apparently it's quite a ride!

It gets flipped on it's side.

Jill's husband BJ came on Sunday to hang out with the family.

Kaylee and Camryn got to site on the Vortex.

Talk about a small world!!!  In our conversations we found out that Stephen and Jill went to the same Jr. High in Placerville (years apart) and Janine and their oldest daughter, Melia went to the same Jr. High in Grass Valley (years apart).

We would love to hear from you.  Please e-Mail us.
