August 23 - August 26, 2002 -
Janine and Suzanne, who have been friends for 32 years, got together for a
girls weekend out. Janine flew up to Oregon and they went to
Lincoln Bay on the Oregon Coast.
They stayed at a beautiful B&B on the ocean.
The Pana-Sea-Ah is one
of the best B&B's Janine has ever stayed at! They really pay
attention to details. |

On the way to the coast we saw this plumbing sign with Janine's maiden name. |
All of these windows have a great view of the ocean. The two on the
left were our room. |
We stayed in the "Garden Room" which was absolutely GEORGEOUS!
They had the wall hand painted with a garden scene. |
They had this armoire painted as well to match. |

We fell asleep listening to the ocean and
slept like babies. |

These are the windows that look out onto
the ocean. |
This birdhouse was so unique I'm hoping Stephen can make me one. |
These are the common areas downstairs. Hall, dining room, living
room. |
Here is the team hard at work preparing our breakfast. |
This is Jim and Nancy's pride and joy, Cookie. He gets lots of lovin' from
the guests. |
After we got settled in our room on Friday night (8/23/02), we went to The
Sea Hag for dinner. |
We were told the owner, an 80 year old
women, might be there and play music with glasses. Unfortunately we
missed her. Suzanne had the buffet and Janine had crab legs. |
Suzanne tried oysters for her first time. |
She started off with a small one and worked her way up to this "monster
oyster". |
After dinner we went back to the B&B and took a dip in the hot tub.
AHHHHH! |
Saturday morning we had fruit, granola, quiche, ham, muffins and sorbet for
breakfast. |
Then we went and did something Janine NEVER
does. SHOP! We shopped for FOUR hours and got A LOT of
Janine's Christmas shopping done. NO TAX to pay in Oregon. |

We were ready to relax after that. We
took a short nap............ |
and then a walk on the beach later in the afternoon. |
It was pretty foggy that weekend but still pretty. |
When we got back from our walk we chatted with the owners, |
and Janine had a glass of wine with them before we headed out to dinner
and a play at Theatre West. |
We went to a steakhouse in Kernville. Suz had tuna and Janine had a
steak. |
The play was at a small town theatre that had a total of 6 rows. It
was very quant. |
Janine couldn't get over the vibrant colors of all the flowers |

We had a GREAT time and thank our husbands
immensely for caring for our kids while we had our girls weekend. Even
if Suzanne's kids didn't get a bath for the 3 days we were gone it was
worth it!. :-) |
