Pre K Field Trip

Each of the Pre-K classes at COTF took a field trip to the Cameron Park Library. Librarian Sara gave them a tour and read them some stories. The kids have a snack before heading out.	Yummy, pudding.	Elizabeth, Caitlin and Kaylee eat their cookies.
Everyone gets their jackets and line up.	The kids are so excited to go on a field trip!	Caitlin and Kaylee "buddy up" for the walk.	Sean likes his picture taken.	Sean and Edward are ready to go.	The 2 Ashley's are paired up.
We look both ways before crossing the street.	Sean's Mom (Shauna) and Miss Betty help Sean and Edward across the street.	We waited for everyone before crossing again.	This is so much fun!!	We made it! Everyone looks in the window as Miss Sara unlocks the door to let us in.	Miss Sara runs through the rules.
Story time.	Miss Sara explains how to care for library books.	Time for a story about DW (Arthur's little sister).	Miss Sara explains the difference between Fiction and Non-Fiction.	The kids each get to pick out a book to check out that will stay at school.	Then she explains to the kids how the computers work and what they are used for.
Ashley B. shows Elizabeth a book about spiders.	Clayton and Wyatt look for a book to check out.	The 3 musketeers, Caitlin, Kaylee and Amber.	Cassidy and Cody try to decide which book to check out.	Kaylee and Ashley B. are very excited to find a book that has the authors first name of Ashley!	Taylor gets help on the computer to find a book on sports..
Miss Betty helps her narrow it down to a book called "All about football".	Wyatt and his Dad (Dave), reads a book about dinosaurs.	Elizabeth, Caitlin, Amber and Kaylee show each other the books they found.	Edwards showing his friends a book on planets.	Sean and his mom Shauna look for a book on the computer.	Howie, Edward and Dillon look at the Non-Fiction section.
The Ashley's check out their books.	Elizabeth and Amber being silly.	Cody and Cassidy get their jackets and get ready to leave.	The trio again.	Everyone waits while Sara checks out their books.	We made it back to the school safely.
What a wonderful field trip!!		The library will be starting their Winter book club. Kids will earn prizes after every 5 hours that you read to them. You can sign up for this club starting on Saturday, 2/14/04. For more details you can visit the Cameron Park Library web site.
